Fruit Dip

This is so simple and so delicious. Everytime I make this people ask for the recipe and can't stay out of it.
1 small jar marshmallow cream
1 8 ounce block cream cheese ( I always use low fat or fat free)
the rind of one medium sized orange
Combine marshmallow cream and cream cheese then grate the rind of the orange into it with a fine grater and mix.
Enjoy!

  1. Oh, I love this. The key is that orange rind. I've seen people make it without the orange rind. People like that mean well, but they are totally missing the point.

  2. Oh! I have made it with cream cheese and powdered sugar (and sour cream and powdered sugar) and have seen it in a million other combinations of cream cheese/marshmallow cream/powdered sugar, but NEVER have I seen it with the orange rind. YUM!

  3. Yum! Sounds great. I usually make it with strawberry cream cheese, but the orange would be something different.

  4. This sounds great! Good with the addition of the orange and this dip would go so well with any fruit. A must try! Thanks!

  5. Sorry Kate, I don't put the orange rind in it, but I cannot tell you how much of this I've eaten during my pregnancy. My baby is going to come out looking like a marshmallow.

  6. jane, try this one too: 8 oz cream cheese, half cup brown sugar, half cup regular sugar, dash cinnamon, and 1/4 cup toffee bits. excellent with apples, and it's my go-to treat for parties and play groups. Yours here sounds perfect for springtime with strawberries!

  7. I made this today for a baby shower tonight. It is so heavenly. I'm not a huge cream cheese lover, so to lighten it up a bit I added half a tub of cool whip- so yummy! Thanks Jane. :)
